Guidance from Those Who've Been There

I never thought I'd get placed in my third year itself. My journey started when I attended a workshop on competitive programming in my second year. I was struggling with basic problems while others were solving mediums easily.

I created a study plan focusing on data structures first, then algorithms. I solved 300+ problems on LeetCode and participated in every contest. The key was consistency - even during exams, I solved at least one problem daily.

When interview season came, I was ready. The Infosys interview had 3 technical rounds focusing on problem-solving and system design. My preparation paid off and I got the offer!

As a statistics major, I wasn't sure about my tech career prospects. I started learning Python and SQL through online courses, but felt lost about how to apply these skills.

I reached out to seniors through StudyVibes who guided me towards data science. They suggested specific projects I could build to showcase my skills. I created a COVID-19 data analysis dashboard and a stock prediction model.

TCS was impressed with my practical approach and offered me a role in their analytics division. My advice? Build things, even if they're small. Show your thought process and willingness to learn.
